SCHRICK Variable Intake Manifold (VSR) - VR6 Engines
The Schrick Variable Intake Manifold has been specifically developed for VR6 engines.
For the first time identical effective-lengths of the intake runners have been developed which is something that is not available on a stock VR6 engine. This helps to achieve the optimum ram effect in the upper rpm ranges, producing the most power possible. While the runners are designed for maximum flow, the plenum's volume is split by a flapper-valve. This flap control calibrates the intake volume in relation to the engine speed. Perfectly matched resonance generates a pronounced increase in cylinder charge, especially in the middle rpm range and results in increased upper rpm airflow (best suited for an aggressive top-end style camshaft) and increased mid-range torque capacity where it is usually lost.
